In the past few years of my creative journey, my work reflects my life. In each life stage, I contemplated the relationship between the other and me, reflecting the relationship between environment and me, reflecting the relationship between other and environment. In each stage, creating is like driftwood, creating breathing space, and it allowed me to clarify the understanding of life.




Xiaomo Chen


Xiaomo is a knitwear designer, Shima Seiki computer knitting engineer and technician.

He works internationally in the fashion industry. He currently works as Associate Knitwear Designer, Research and Engineering at Thom Browne. He worked at Tory Burch as a knitwear design assistant and was interned at Melitta Baumeister as a design intern in New York and interned at Syzygy and ApuJan as a knitting technician and PR in London in 2020. He was assigned as a special assistant to the CEO of Jamei Chen in organising the show in Taipei Fashion Week once he graduated from college.

Xiaomo majored in Knitwear Design in college, winning a national scholarship in Taiwan to study at Parsons MFA Fashion Design and Society, his master's collection was presented in New York Fashion Week in 2022. He got sponsored by Fashion Scout/FJU Talent to present his work at London Fashion Week in 2020. His bachelor collection was chosen and presented at Beijing International Graduate Fashion Week in 2019.

His interdisciplinary learning experience allowed him to access multiple professional fields and present his work in dynamic ways. Majored in fine art in high school laid a classical foundation for his aesthetics. The experience of being an actor in the theatre created by Zhang, Ai-Jia enabled him to transform delicate life observations and emotional depictions into poetic and elegant elements flowing in his collection.
